The Aussie Warpaint Scolymia is a true showpiece coral, prized for its bold and vibrant coloration. Known for its striking contrast of deep reds, electric oranges, and radiant greens, this large specimen makes a dramatic centerpiece in any reef aquarium. Its fleshy, circular body displays a mesmerizing “warpaint” pattern that shifts under different lighting, giving it a fiery, battle-ready look.

Lighting:
Moderate to low (PAR 50–150). Brings out best fluorescent colors under blue/actinic lighting.

Flow:
Low to moderate. Gentle currents allow for feeding and full expansion without damaging delicate tissue.

Placement:
Ideal on the sandbed or stable rock platform with room to expand. Keep away from aggressive stingers.

Feeding:
Photosynthetic but thrives with supplemental feeding 1–2x per week. Offer meaty foods like mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or coral pellets to enhance growth and color vibrancy.
