Description

Size: XL

The Medusa’s Eye Scoly is a mesmerizing masterpiece of the reef. With a deep violet body streaked in glowing green veins and a striking magenta core, this coral captures the hypnotic beauty of the mythical Gorgon’s gaze. Under actinic lighting, its patterns shimmer like living serpents, making it a centerpiece coral that commands attention in any aquarium.

  • Lighting:
Moderate to low (PAR 50–150). Best color pop is under blue/actinic spectrum.

  • Flow:
Low to moderate. Gentle currents help with feeding and health but avoid strong direct flow that can damage flesh.

  • Placement:
Sandbed or stable rock ledge with open space. Keep away from aggressive stingers, as Scolys are peaceful.

  • Feeding:
Photosynthetic but thrives with supplemental feeding. Target feed 1–2 times per week with mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or coral pellets to boost growth and vibrancy.

  • Water Parameters:

Peaceful coral but extends feeder tentacles at night. Leave space to prevent accidental stings.
